It's Earth Week, and Hedera is leading the charge towards sustainability in the world of blockchain

This week we celebrated Earth Week! and Hedera Hashgraph showed off its sustainable decentralized ledger technology (DLT) solutions for the environment. In other words, they're trying to make the world a better place, one block at a time. 

The main goal is to provide a decentralized foundation for bringing the planet's carbon balance sheet to the blockchain. And they're doing just that with their latest projects that focus on voluntary carbon offsetting solutions, transparency in water markets, and tokenizing ESG assets. 

Hedera has teamed up with companies like DOVU, Civic Ledger, and TymlezBV to offer innovative solutions that help accelerate net-zero goals and promote conservation efforts. They're also working on software tools that make sustainable finance more accessible and cost-effective for investors. 

The most exciting part of all this is that these projects are secured on the Hedera network, which is the most sustainable DLT out there. So not only are they doing good for the planet, but they're doing it in a carbon-negative way.

In what has been a fantastic year so far for Hedera, the network has hit yet another incredible milestone. Over 2,000,000 accounts have been created on the Hedera Mainnet, marking an extraordinary achievement for the Hedera community of users, builders, and enterprises. 

In just under 3 years, Hedera has established itself as one of the most reputable and reliable networks in the Web3 ecosystem. It's a testament to the network's hard work and dedication, as well as its ability to attract users and developers with its unique features, such as low transaction fees, fast confirmation times, and unparalleled security.

Karate Combat Secures $18 Million to Launch Gaming App and $KARATE Token on Hedera & Ethereum Networks 

Karate Combat, the full-contact karate league that uses Unreal Engine from Epic Games and extended reality (XR) technology, has raised $18 million in funding from investors. The league is sponsored by the HBAR Foundation, the group that supports the Hedera ecosystem and the Hedera Hashgraph network. The funds will be used to launch a Karate Combat "Up Only Gaming" app and a $KARATE token on the Ethereum and Hedera networks on May 10. The app will allow players to allocate $KARATE tokens to their favorite fighters and boost the fighters' potential prize pools beyond their contracted pay. The tokens will be used to vote on topics such as fund allocation and future events, making Karate Combat the first crypto league. The league's audience spans over 100 countries, and it has over 4.5 million followers and more than 10 million views per event from deals with major sports broadcasters. 

NFTs Meet Utility: HashPack Launches Revolutionary Store on Hedera Network!
